Not every release is the result of a carefully planned roadmap. Sometimes it’s simply: something breaks, you fix it. Version 0.7.6 is that kind of release.
What happened
We were deep into structural improvements when a new release of FlexMeasures — one of the core components V2G Liberty depends on — triggered a cascade of issues. At the same time, Home Assistant 2026.3.0 introduced a change to its dialog API, which caused V2G Liberty’s settings windows to stop working altogether.
In short: two external updates arriving at once, with noticeable consequences for users. That called for immediate action.
What’s been fixed
Among others:
- Settings dialogs are working again — the dialog API migration in HA 2026.3 caused the settings windows to stop opening. Fixed.
- FlexMeasures password reset — due to stricter password requirements, you may need to reset your FlexMeasures password. Check the settings page to see if this applies to you.
- Gap in chart lines — a visible break appeared in the chart between fixed values and the forecast. Fixed.
- Failing “no prices” notification — a notification that was incorrectly triggered. Fixed.
A final note
Releases like this one aren’t glamorous, but they matter. V2G Liberty runs on an interplay of components — Home Assistant, FlexMeasures, your energy contract — and when one of those ships a major update, we sometimes feel it immediately. Glad we could address this quickly.
