V2G Liberty v0.7.5: faster response to charging and discharging
We have just released v0.7.5 — a targeted update that fixes one specific problem: the “Charge” and “Discharge” buttons sometimes…
V2G Liberty is an app for bidirectional charging. With a bidirectional charger, your electric car becomes a smart battery-on-wheels. V2G Liberty optimises and automates the charging process: charging when electricity is cheap and green.
You decide through your own agenda when your car should be ready. V2G Liberty unburdens and arranges the rest, you keep the control.
Users charge on average for €0.09/kWh. Save €1,000 - €1,500 per year on charging costs.

The system automatically calculates when charging is the cheapest and greenest.
The moment you leave, your car is charged to the desired level.
Works with all dynamic energy contracts in the Netherlands and other EU countries with day-ahead rates.

V2G stands for Vehicle-to-Grid, a technology where your electric car not only absorbs energy, but can also return it to the electricity grid or your home. Your car becomes a mobile energy storage.
V2G Liberty is battery friendly. The system prevents calendar ageing by never leaving the battery very full or very empty for a long time. There is of course some increase in cyclical wear, but the powers are relatively low compared to what the battery can handle. We have had a number of cars that have been V2G examined by the ANWB for a long time - this has shown no additional battery wear.
V2G Liberty users charge on average for €0.09/kWh. For comparison: the average dynamic rate is €0.29/kWh, a fixed contract costs around €0.40/kWh. In practice, users save between €1,000 and €1,500 per year on their charging costs.
You can always indicate that you need the car via the app. The app then ensures that sufficient charge is available. You can also set your own minimum battery level so you can always make the ride you want.
